စကားတစ္လံုး အသံုးမ်ားစြာ အပိုင္း-၇ (Stand)

        ဘာသာစကား ေလ့လာတဲ့အခါ စကားလံုးေတြဟာ အလြန္အေရးႀကီးပါတယ္။ အဓိပၸာယ္တူေပမယ့္ အသံုးအႏႈန္းမတူတာေတြ၊စကားလံုးတူေပမယ့္ အဓိပၸယ္မတူတာေတြ စသည့္အခ်က္ေတြကို ဘာသာစကား ေလ့လာသူတိုင္း မလြဲမေသြ ေတြ႔ႀကံဳၾကရမွာပါ။ စကားလံုးတစ္လံုးကို အမ်ိဳးမ်ိဳးသံုးစြဲျခင္းျဖင့္ ေန႔စဥ္စကား ေျပာရာတြင္ မ်ားစြာ အသံုးဝင္ႏုိင္ပါတယ္။

ဒီတစ္ပတ္မွာ “Stand” ဆိုတဲ့ စကားလံုးရဲ႕ အသံုးအႏႈန္းေတြကို ေလ့လာၾကရေအာင္ ….

Stand ကို verb (ႀကိယာ) အျဖစ္သံုးေသာ ပံုစံမ်ား

-       She was too weak to stand.

သူမက အားနည္းလြန္းလို႔ မတ္တတ္ မရပ္ႏုိင္ဘူး။

-       After the storm, few trees were left standing.

မုန္တိုင္းၿပီးသြားတဲ့အခါ မလဲပဲက်န္ေနတဲ့ သစ္ပင္ရယ္လို႔ မရွိသေလာက္ပါပဲ။

Stand ကို noun (နာမ္) အျဖစ္သံုးေသာ ပံုစံမ်ား

-       The troops made a brave stand against the enemy.

စစ္တပ္က ရန္သူကို ခုခံတုိက္ခိုက္ဖို႔အတြက္ ရဲရဲရင့္ရင့္ ႀကံ့ႀကံ့ခံရပ္တည္ ခဲ့ၾကတယ္။

-       The sculpture had been removed from its stand for cleaning.

ပန္းပု႐ုပ္ကို တင္သည့္ စင္မွ ေဆးေၾကာရန္ သယ္ယူသြားသည္။

Grandstand    = အထူးတန္း

Taxi stand      = အငွားယဥ္ဂိတ္

Music stand    = ေတးသြား စာရြက္ ညွပ္ရန္ ျပဳလုပ္ထားေသာ စင္

Stand-in         = (စတန္႔ျပကြက္မ်ားတြင္ ဇာတ္ေဆာင္ေနရာတြင္) အစားဝင္ေပးသူ

Stand-up       = လက္တန္း ပ်က္လံုးထုတ္ေသာ လူရႊင္ေတာ္
