to point out : ညႊန္ျပသည္၊ ေထာက္ျပသည္။

-       The teacher point out the mistakes in my composition.

ဆရာက ကၽြန္ေတာ့္ အမွားကို ေထာက္ျပေပးတယ္။

-       A friend pointed the famous actor out to me.

သူငယ္ခ်င္းက ကၽြန္ေတာ္ကို နာမည္ႀကီး သ႐ုပ္ေဆာင္ တစ္ေယာက္ ညႊန္ျပတယ္။

to be up : သတ္မွတ္ခ်ိန္ျပည့္သည္။

-       “The time is up” the teacher said at the end of the test period.

စာေမးပြဲ အခ်ိန္ၿပီးဆံုး ခ်ိန္မွာ“အခ်ိန္ျပည့္ၿပီ” လို႔ ဆရာက ေျပာတယ္။

-       We have to leave the tennis court because our hour is up; some other people want to use it now.

အခ်ိန္ျပည့္သြားၿပီဆိုေတာ့ ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႔ တင္းနစ္ကြင္းက သြားရေတာ့မယ္၊ သူမ်ားေတြလည္း သံုးခ်င္ေနၾကၿပီ။

to be over/ through : သတ္မွတ္ခ်ိန္ေက်ာ္သြားသည္၊ ၿပီးဆံုးသြားသည္။

-       After the dance was over, we all went to a restaurant.

ကပြဲၿပီးသြားေတာ့ ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႔ အားလံုး စားေသာက္ဆိုင္ကို သြားခဲ့ၾကတယ္။

-       The meeting was through ten minutes earlier than everyone expected.      

အစည္းအေဝးက အားလံုး ေမွ်ာ္မွန္းထားတာထက္ ၁ဝ မိနစ္ေလာက္ ေစာၿပီးခဲ့တယ္။

on time : အခ်ိန္မွန္၊ သတ္မွတ္ခ်ိန္အတိုင္း အတိအက်

-       I thought that Margaret would arrive late, but she was right on time.

မာဂရက္ ေနာက္က်မယ္လို႔ ထင္ထားတာ ဒါေပမယ့္ အခ်ိန္အတိအက် ပါပဲ။

-       Did you get to work on time this morning, or did rush hour traffic delay you?

ခင္ဗ်ား ဒီမနက္ အလုပ္ခ်ိန္ ကြက္တိ ပဲလား၊ ကားပိတ္လို႔ ေနာက္က်ေသးလား

in time : အခ်ိန္မီ (သတ္မွတ္ခ်ိန္ မတိုင္မီ)

-       We entered the theater just in time to see the beginning of the movie.

ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႔ ဇာတ္ကား မစခင္ အခ်ိန္မီ ႐ုပ္ရွင္႐ံုထဲကို ဝင္ခဲ့ၾကတယ္။

-       The truck was not able to stop in time to prevent an accident.

မေတာ္တဆမႈ မျဖစ္ေအာင္ ကားက အခ်ိန္မီ မရပ္တန္႔ႏိုင္ခဲ့ဘူး။

to call at day/ night : အလုပ္ကို ရပ္ကာ အနားယူသည္

-       John tried to repair his car engine all morning before he called it a day and went fishing.

ဂၽြန္က သူ ဒီေန႔ အလုပ္နားၿပီး ငါးမွ်ား မသြားခင္ တစ္မနက္လံုး ကားစက္ကို ျပင္ဖို႔ ႀကိဳးစားေနခဲ့တယ္။

-       We've been working hard on this project all evening; let's call it a night.

ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႔ ဒီစီမံကိန္းကုိ တစ္ညေနလံုး ႀကိဳးစား ပမ္းစား လုပ္ေနရတာ ဒီညေတာ့ နားရေအာင္ကြာ။

to figure out : နားလည္သည္၊ ေျဖရွင္းသည္၊ အေျဖရသည္။

-       How long did it take you to figure out the answer to the math problem?

မင္း ဒီပုစၦာ အေျဖရေအာင္ ဘယ္ေလာက္ေတာင္ အခ်ိန္ယူခဲ့ရလဲ

-       I was never able to figure it out.

ကၽြန္ေတာ္ေတာ့ ဘယ္ေတာ့မွ ေျဖရွင္းႏိုင္မွာ မဟုတ္ေတာ့ပါဘူး။

to think of : အထင္ရွွိသည္၊ သေဘာရသည္။

-       I don't think much of him as a baseball player; he's a slow runner and a poor hitter.

သူက အေျပးလည္း မသန္၊ အတြန္းအတိုုက္လည္း မသန္ေတာ့ ကၽြန္ေတာ္သူ႔ကို ေဘ့(စ္)ေဘာ သမား တစ္ေယာက္ လို႔ေတာင္ သိပ္မထင္ပါဘူး၊

-       James thinks highly of his new boss, who is a kind and helpful person.

ဂ်ိမ္း(စ္) က သူ႔သေဌးကို သေဘာမေနာေကာင္း၊ ကူညီတတ္သူလို႔ အျပည့္အဝ သေဘာထားတယ္။
